Native Squarespace Feature: Product Page Additional Info
How we used it here:
While the provided prompts for products are a bit limited, you can expand your product page to include anything you want with the classic builder under the “additional info” section while editing your product. For our templates, we used it as a place to add summary blocks linked to our features page, to showcase the custom features that correspond with each template, since we’ve already featured them on our site in detail.
Native Squarespace Feature: Summary Block with Tagged & Featured Posts Only
How we used it here:
In order to make sure we’re showing the correct features with each template, we have to make use of two native Squarespace blog functions:
tagging
featured posts
Since each of our templates are based on a custom project we’ve done, we keep our system simple: we tag based on the custom project, and mark the features that will then come in the corresponding template as featured posts. Then, when we add the summary block on the product page for the template in question, we make sure the filter items have the correct tag and are set to featured only.
